Reading books is a reflection Self

If you find yourself  behaving somewhat similar to curly after reading the novel character of Andrea Hirata called Laskar Pelangi or the character of Elektra Wijaya after reading the novel Lightning Dewi Lestari's work, it is reasonable based on the results of a new study.

The reader who sided with the fictional characters will tend to adopt the character traits fikitf without realizing it. This certainly gives a new meaning of the phrase is "immersed himself" in a good book.

Researchers at Ohio State University found the book lover who has shown himself adopting the characteristics of feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and internal reactions of fictional characters can be entered in a phenomenon called "absorbing experience."

According to a study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, "When you 'sink' into the world of fictional characters when reading a story, you may end up changing your own behavior and mind to adjust to the behavior and the mind of the character."

Geoff Kaufman, a post-doctoral researcher at Tiltfactor Laboratory at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hamphire, and author of companion Lisa Libby, an assistant professor in the department of psychology, Ohio State University, held a series of six different tests involving about 500 volunteers.

Their results show that the story of the first angle of view can be transformative for a while, so it changed the way readers view the world, themselves, and other social groups.

The results of this study as confirmed to us, that would be far better if we "consume" the readings are good quality because as noted earlier, these works-many will have little impact on the reader.
