Pair of hands
One day, in the classroom in an elementary school, a teacher gave his students the task. "Children, today the task of free drawing. Draw a picture or anything that you have. For example a house that you live in, things that you care, beautiful natural scenery, or whatever image you want. What, it's obvious right? Now, remove the equipment and immediately began to draw pictures. "
Thus, the children were happily churning out drawing tools while chattering, asking each other questions and answers about what objects will be drawn afterwards.
Not long after, the class was gradually calm. Each child soon busy with his idea, which seeks poured onto the drawing paper. When the time allotted for the task is completed, the teacher asks each child, one by one, advancing to the front of the class to show pictures and tell you briefly the reasons why he drew it.
There are many reasons put forward the image and the children. There is a picture that explains about cars, toys, fruits, landscapes, and so forth. Arriving at last turn, a child who is somewhat shy because his legs are limp when walking, advance to the next grade. Although less than perfect way of passage, from the pictures it appears that he is very good at painting.
All the attention was suddenly directed to your friends, because they want to know what the draw of a disabled child from the impoverished families. Soon, the boy was showing the pictures. Apparently, he drew a pair of hands. Class was finally back because they were busy wondering why the boy was drawing a pair of hands. What does he mean? Whose hand he drew? His own or someone else's hands? Why is hand drawn? All the children tried to guess who the picture painted by the hands of his friend.
After careful attention to the picture, the teacher asked gently, "Son, who hands you this picture?"
The boy said softly but clearly, "This one is a picture of my mother, and another hand drawing teacher."
"Why do not you draw your own hands?" further asked the teacher.
"Pictures of the hand, it was not my own, Mom. I love and cherish those hands. Because, my mother owned a pair of hands that guide, teach, and serve me sincerely that I could grow up to be like today. And another thing, I drawing hands because the mother was Master teacher who taught writing and painting. Although my lame leg, but my hand can write and create a beautiful painting. Thank you, ma'am, "said the boy earnestly.
With teary eyes, the teacher nodded, "Thank you again, you are smart kids who understand and be grateful".
Friends of the Wise,
It is remarkable mental attitude of a child whose leg was lame, but able to express my thanks and gratitude for the services parents and teachers, through a simple painting.
Had a lame foot is not meant to be inferior. Reflection of real life that way we can see from physicist Steven Hawking. He is someone with a disability, paralysis, even if you want to talk to use the help of electronic devices. But, with a strong willingness and enthusiasm that never give up, he is now recognized as the great scientists of this century. Although disabled, he is able to be respected because the results of research and thinking.
What was done by Steven Hawking is a picture of a true courage. He was grateful for whatever the case with permanent work. Things like that's what we ought to make an example. We need to instill the courage to change the mental attitude to get better, whatever the conditions we face today.
Come on, rise up from every adversity, inequality, and lack of! For me, it is a true courage if we are able to continue to develop themselves and the immediate start of what we are today. So, make it happen! Make it happen! Always have a strong determination to change for the better, day by day. Thankful for whatever we have, to continue to maximize our potential. Also increase the power struggle of life by nurturing the spirit of never give up! That way, our lives would be more useful.
